Open air markets

There are more than 60 open air markets in which to look around, discover items from the past, being captured by a wide range colored atmosphere: Torino natives are passionate about shopping “en plein air” and they find what they need in quantity and variety in these markets.

Some major areas of attraction are Porta Palazzo, Europe’s largest open-air market. On a typical Saturday in the city of Torino, 100,000 visitors descend on Porta Palazzo. For over 150 years, this sprawling market has offered a cornucopia of footwear,clothes, house wares, toys and food from across Italy​ and around the world.
With over one thousand merchants and 700 street vendors, Porta Palazzo is a commercial hub whose opportunities have always attracted newcomers to the city.

Balôn at Borgo Dora, a gigantic flea market that also features antiques, open every Saturday and the second Sunday of each month is a destination that cannot be missed for anyone who wishes to get acquainted with one of Torino’s most charming facets.

Along with these, there is also a series of trade fairs, markets and street markets that are open in Torino all year round in every district of the city where you buy grocery and clothes every weekday in the morning and Saturdays all day.

Piazza Benefica is the best market for good buy of Italian brands (only mornings, Mon – Sat).

Crocetta market is located in a residential area, very popular for very good bargains on italian fashion brands (every morning from Monday to Saturday)
